Some I was hiking the other day and I came across this flower doing the impossible. In a sheet of bedrock in the scorching heat a tiny flower was growing in a crack.
It made me think of a friend of mine.
I like to think I have helped this friend blossom some but her achievements are all her own.
From her own rock she has managed to plant roots grow and try to make the world a littler more pretty.
I just hope that for the worlds sake and her shes gets to put down roots somewhere bigger soon.
I like that flower. There's a quiet strength. I read a book once about a girl who was transformed from Much Afraid to Grace and Glory. Along the way, she met the very flower of which you speak. The book is called Hind's Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard.
